Day 144 (00:12) – I listened to a podcast episode by James Wedmore about how uncomfortable it feels to do something new and completely unknown. He was asked how he “get’s over” feeling this way and I loved his response! He said that you don’t really get over it, you simply stay THERE (in the unknown, in the place of discomfort) long enough so that it then becomes your KNOWN. This was such a lightbulb moment for me! I am very aware of the fact that I resist, fight and oftentimes talk myself out of something good when it feels too uncomfortable, so this response was a great reminder for me… especially now as I’m almost done writing the first draft of my online course.
This is all very new to me, so I’m determined more than ever to STAY IN THE UNKNOWN. I know that if I continue challenging myself and getting uncomfortable (a.k.a getting out of my own way!) I will grow in ways that I could have never imagined. This week is all about staying in that place of discomfort and owning it!
Day 145 (03:11) – Still writing… in front of my computer all day… obviously not the most fun work but I know this will get easier with time. I know that one day I will reach a level of mastery with course creation and online business and THIS is all part of that journey.
Day 146 (03:28) – I’m so close to finishing my course! I think I’m only a few days away and I can’t wait to share more about that! I didn’t work/write as much as I wanted to, I focused on culling through images that have been piling up on my computer. Although time consuming, it needs to get done since it relates to the product I’m working on.
Anyway, in today’s update I share a bit about another thing that I currently do (and LOVE doing) that also feels “unknown and uncomfortable” but it’s taught me so much; teaching Sculpt at Core Power Yoga. Every time I teach I learn something new about myself and I’m slowly learning that every day that I show up to work on my business I get an opportunity to learn and grow. Because of this I’m truly learning to love the discomfort throughout this journey and I’m so grateful that you’re here. Thank you for watching, enjoy!
