I’ve always felt that the people who are supposed to be together, eventually end up together. Regardless of what happens or what doesn’t happen, someday, somehow, their lives will be connected. Even in the smallest of ways. I’m not superstitious and I don’t do the whole fate thing, I really don’t think things are that complicated. It’s simpler than that. Kinda’ like the story of the couple who crossed paths as children at Disneyland and fifteen years later ended meeting and getting married. Incredible. And simple.
I could listen to stories like that all day long and I’m convinced that there are people in my life who I’ve crossed paths with years ago without even realizing it. Or maybe I will cross paths with again later on in the future. I don’t know. But I’m sure stuff like that happens more often than noticed and when it does and I get a chance to be a tiny part of such an amazing thing, you can be sure I’m holding back bursts of celebration every time I think about it.
So when I met with Santiago and Angelica and realized I’d be shooting their wedding in September, it was very much the same feeling. Holding back bursts of celebration. And as if having the privilege of documenting such an important event in their lives wasn’t enough, it turns out their lives crossed paths when they were only about five years old! And years later, they met again and well, turns out love made an appearance as well. Incredible. Just my kind of story.
And now, with my stories and random celebrations aside, meet Santiago and Angelica…

Santiago and Angelica,
The love that you two share is so special. One can feel it just by being around you. Santiago, the softness and tenderness in your voice when you speak to Angelica is beyond beautiful. And Angelica, the appreciation in your eyes when you look at Santiago is heartwarming. Being able to witness such a soft and yet powerful love has reminded me how it’s always supposed to be. So, thank you for that. You are both amazing and we are so excited for the big day
