I don’t normally categorize relationships, or how I like to refer to them, love stories, into types. But sometimes I do. Sometimes I go wild and categorize things. So, I decided to summarize the endless types of stories into two. I just can’t contain my oh, so rebellious side.
There’s the kind where everything seems to effortlessly fall into place. And in the end it does, because well, it’s perfect. The second kind is unexpected and where things seem to be not quite right, sometimes even confusing and frustrating. But in the end, everything falls completely into place, because well, it’s also perfect. Of course I love both but I’m especially fond of the ones that carry a mixture of both.
And that is why I adore Liz and Chris. Someone looking into their childhood friendship would have written it off as simply that, a friendship. But turning the page they would have noticed something special unfolding. As Chris’ older brother began to date Liz’ older sister, they ended up as the designated chaperons and their friendship began taking a different turn. It seemed as if their story began falling perfectly into place but timing and circumstances would soon make it seem like things weren’t quite right. But it didn’t matter, because true love is never really out of place. In the end, everything else caught up to their love, things fell perfectly into line and Liz and Chris continued what they had unknowingly begun creating years before where friendship was the main focus. And that mixture, friendship and love, is always perfect.
Liz and Chris were married two years ago today in an intimate ceremony where their love for each other took center stage. So to celebrate their love, not only would they be taking anniversary photos, but their bride and groom portraits for the first time. So before I open a whole separate topic about how wonderful these two are, I’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking.
Here is Part I, meet Liz and Chris…
*sigh*
I simply couldn’t wait to photograph these two, but the wait was so worth it! Simply amazing.
Liz wanted me to choose the location and she said they were open to anything. Reason #98 why I love them! So I chose a place that ended up not working out and this location was actually my second choice. But now, I’m kicking myself wondering what the heck I was thinking choosing this place as my second choice!? Craziness. I’m so glad the first place I had in mind didn’t work out.
Oh Liz, you make me happy.
I am in LOVE with this photo…
…and this one…
I probably shouldn’t be jealous of my clients and friends but when they are this amazing, referring to both inner and outer beauty, it’s hard not to be!
Favorite. Favorite. Favorite.
Liz and Chris,
First of all, HUGE congratulations on your anniversary! I really wanted to post this part of your photos earlier but I decided to wait until the day of your anniversary so thank you for your patience! And I’m short for words to be able to fully express how thankful we are to have been a small part of such a beautiful moment in your life. You have no idea what it means to us to know that you trusted us not only as your friends, but as your photographers to make this shoot possible. Anyone that is willing to do some minor rock climbing for a photo, in wedding attire, is AMAZING and number one in our book! Thank you for sharing your story with us we are truly blessed to be able to call you both friends. We are certain that Jehovah will continue blessing your marriage and your future plans to continue serving him. Thank you a hundred times more and I’ll be posting part two of your session in a couple of days!
With love,
Eddie and Marissa Rodriguez
