Monday Mini New Year

Monday. Like I’ve said before, it’s like a mini “new year” for me. Just like with a new year, you take the events, experiences, mistakes, memories and achievements from the previous year and learn from them, create new goals and work to stick with them. A fresh start.

But Monday is a Quick fresh start. No need to wait the whole year. Sometimes though, I find that I need a few more Mondays before I completely recover from certain events. So it’s a good thing that there are about 52-53 Mondays in a year. It gives me time to take certain events, experiences, mistakes, memories and achievements from the previous weeks and learn from them. A quick fresh start.

Last week Eddie and I had the opportunity to photograph part of a beautiful family that holds a place in my heart. A huge place in my heart. Actually, they pretty much own the whole thing. As soon as I can get through editing the images without bursting into tears I’ll be sure to post my favorites. In the meantime, here is a shot Eddie grabbed of me and my favorite people in the world. In the whole world. No joke.

So, regardless of your feelings toward Monday, I’m sure there is at least one wonderful thing about today. An intimate moment shared with family, a fabulous new outfit, a priceless friendship, an adorable pet, whatever your moment may be, love it. Own it. Heck, take a picture for crying out loud! It doesn’t matter if you’re not a photographer or don’t have a fancy camera, just take the picture. If I learned anything from the past couple of weeks, it’s that photos are literally all you have when all is said and done. And your memory of course, but depending on age and health, it’s better not to risk it. HA!

Thanks for stopping by!
